Congratulations Katherine

On Saturday, March 25, 2006 Katherine received the sacrament of confirmation in the Catholic Church. Rebecca was her sponsor. The ceremony and mass were in the morning and afterwards we all went to a restaurant across from Bradley University for a quick lunch and a small celebration of Nathaniel's 7th birthday. I say quick because Katherine and Tori had to be in Princeton by 3:00 to get ready for their homeschool play production. We just barely made it.

The play was very good and was patterned after The Amazing Race program. The best part was the Celtic tap dancing that the girls all worked hard to perfect. After the play and a short reception we finally got home to cook a couple of omelets and the girls watched a DVD called Bambi II and then off to a well deserved night sleep.

Today, Sunday, is a beautiful spring like day and it almost got up to 60°. I tilled up a large chunk of the garden and raked the rows while your mother planted lettuce, spinach, beets, radishes, and when she gets back from town some onion sets and peas. The girls cleaned out the garage and picked up some of the winter debris from around the yard. We are all sick of winter and hoping for a nice stretch of good weather, after all it is spring. Tori went 4 wheeling with Hannah and her mom, aunt and cousins on the Honda. They have a cart that Beth pulls behind the 4 wheeler. Kate is making snacks for her youth group meeting this evening and I am on the computer as usual...lol

How many gallons of Maple syrup has Pam and her girls made so far? Are you going to have to wash the kitchen walls to get rid of all the sticky stuff...lol We did that one year in the house before we realized that the steam has a lot of sugar in it and it gets on everything. The next year we put a gas stove in the milk room of the barn and some propane and boiled the sap out there.

Dad
